HOME MAKEOVER

Ever wonder what it would be like to be on one of those home makeover shows? Well, I found this company in Katy... it goes a little like this...DAY ONE: These cute and stylish decorators show up making you feel like you just made a new best friend. They proceed to take a lot of notes and measurements. DAY TWO: They arrive with a huge truckload of goodies and kick you out of your house. A few hours later you return to a pimped out house! DAY THREE: You torture yourself by living in your newly decorated area for a couple of days... only to...DAY FOUR: Have your new best friends highly paid decorators, return and strip you of all your new found treasures...because purchasing every single item would break the bank! Leaving you feeling like you've just been robbed and to sulk in your now... empty house!

Before and afters of the living room below. They rearranged all the existing furniture (with the exception of a glass sofa table they brought) and just added a bunch of accessories.

I THINK I like the new layout of the furniture. What do YOU think?

THINGS I'M NOT SO SURE ABOUT...

Cute zebra lamp and greenery in kitchen. Do I really need a lamp when I have undercabinet lighting???

Centerpiece in formal dining? Needs a little 'funkiness'!

Centerpiece on breakfast table. Thinking it might need a little more color?

Sitting chairs in master. I'm REALLY thinking I like these... but may be a little too gramma-ish?
I welcome you to critique anything and everything. I really need some help deciding what to get!

I love love love the little zebra lamp! yes, i would keep it even though you have under cabinet lighting. too cute!
the flower arrangements, i just don't have a comment about those.... i'm still trying to figure out what to put on my dining room table. the jury is still out on that for me.
i like the *idea* of picture frames in the bedroom, but the urns, I'm thinking something else, and not so big, makes the night stands seem too small. but i love the idea of something like that above the night stands.
i love the layout of the living room. and the rug is a definite must keep no matter what! :0)
they did a fab job!

I agree with Nancy - also, what does Tom think? I like the rug and the layout but think there are about 2x the accessories you need, unless you want the 'model home' look! And its a lot of stuff to dust! If you try the layout and don't like it, just change back. Anyway, your home always looks nice.

Hi Melissa and thanks for sharing your website. I love it...esp. the desserts!

The only thing that seemed to say, I don't belong here was the artichoke on the table. The rest of your home is nothing short of gorgeous! Enjoy!
