This summer, BSA Troop #573 loaded up the vans and caravanned to San Isabel Scout Ranch located near Colorado Springs, CO with an overnight stay at Palo Duro Canyon in Amarillo. At base camp, Daniel earned several merit badges, toured the Bishop Castle which was built by one man's family that used only scrap and natural materials.
Bradley participated in a high adventure camp and hiked the San Luis Peak... 14,000 feet in elevation. Quite a feat for a 13 year old boy... Heck... it was tough for some of the adults too! Taking 2 days to complete the hike he experienced whitewater rafting, zipling in Brown's Canyon, fly fishing, and trekking through lots of ice and snow.... and his not so great moment of altitude sickness.
