MELISSA: "Daniel, is your room clean?"
DANIEL: "Yes, mom!"
Look at how nice and clean Daniel keeps his room! Pretty good job for an 11 year old... right?!
MELISSA: "Daniel, did you clean your room today?"
DANIEL: "Of course, mom!"
The above conversation has happened on a daily basis for the entire summer.
MELISSA: "Daniel, where is your trunk for camp?"
DANIEL: "It's in the closet in my bedroom, mom!"
As I proceed to open the closet I am surprised to find the doings of a sneaky little rat and lets just say it doesn't come in the form of little droppings!
MELISSA: "Daniel, get your little butt up here! What is this mess? Is this how you clean your room?"
DANIEL: "Mom, you told me to clean my room... my room IS clean!"
